Minibus Hire

Our minibuses are available for use by all local voluntary, community and not-for-profit groups on an hourly, daily, weekly, seasonal or term time basis.

We have a modern fleet of fully accessible minibuses which are available for use by local groups at non-profit rates and can be used for a wide range of activities.  The vehicles may be used for short and long-distance trips and can be used to transport people who find it very difficult or impossible to use public transport.  You can book our minibuses up to 12 months before your trip.

We encourage all our groups to provide their own MiDAS approved drivers if they wish to use our minibuses.  We can provide affordable MiDAS training if required.  We may be able to provide one of our drivers but this will incur an additional cost.  The minibuses can carry a maximum of three wheelchairs.

Who is it for?

Any voluntary, community or not-for-profit group in the local area.

What can it be used for?

The minibuses can be hired for a few hours, all day, for a weekend or even a week’s holiday.  Journeys can be for any social purpose - shopping, visiting, theatre trips, holidays - anywhere in mainland Britain.

For example your community group may need transport to bring members to a meeting or you might want to arrange a day out for your voluntary organisation.

Who can drive?

Drivers must be between 21 and 69, with a clean licence which has minibus entitlement and more than two years’ driving experience. All minibus drivers must have a current MiDAS certificate.

Telephone 617828 between 9.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, giving as much notice as possible.

How much does it cost?

Charges are based on the length of time you want to hire the minibus for and the mileage you do.  The cost includes fuel, insurance, breakdown cover and VAT where applicable.
