Minibus Hire and Group Travel
Community Transport offers a range of wheelchair accessible minibuses which are available for use by any voluntary or community group in the local area as long as they are non-profit making. A wide variety of local groups use our minibuses including lunch clubs, stroke groups, residential homes, sports and youth groups, even a brass band fan club! These groups use the vehicles to travel to meetings, to go shopping, outings to the seaside, to go on holidays, or just out for a cream tea together. The vehicles can be taken anywhere in mainland Britain and can be used for a few hours, all day, for a weekend, a week or even a fortnight. If you have a volunteer that you would like to drive one of our vehicles, we will take care of their training and insurance. To drive any of the minibuses the individual must be between 21 and 69 years of age with a clean driving licence and at least two years driving experience. For further information about this please click on the link for Driver Training. In order to hire a minibus from us your group must also be registered. Please telephone us between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday to register. Once you are registered, all we ask is that you give us as much notice of your journey as possible!
